Sweet Bourbon Glazed Salmon
There's something about the combination of caramelized bourbon glaze and rich, flaky salmon that feels equal parts weeknight-easy and dinner-party-worthy. This recipe uses our Sweet Bourbon Glaze to skip the usual reduction step — no simmering bourbon, brown sugar, and soy sauce on the stove for 20 minutes. Just brush it on, let it caramelize, and you've got a restaurant-quality dinner in under 20 minutes total.
Ingredients
- 4 salmon fillets (6 oz each)
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- ½ cup Bald Eagle Foods Sweet Bourbon Glaze
- Optional: sliced green onions or lemon wedges, for garnish
Instructions
- Pat salmon dry with a paper towel and season both sides with salt and pepper.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
- Sear salmon for 3–4 minutes per side, until nearly cooked through.
- In the last 2–3 minutes of cooking, brush salmon generously with Sweet Bourbon Glaze, letting it caramelize in the pan.
- Remove from heat once the salmon flakes easily and the glaze is glossy and sticky.
- Garnish with green onions or a lemon wedge. Serve over rice with steamed vegetables or a light salad.
On the grill: Preheat to medium-high, oil the grates well, and grill salmon skin-side down for 6–8 minutes with the lid closed. Brush with glaze in the last 3–4 minutes, letting it set before serving.
