Puff Pastry-Wrapped Pickled Asparagus Bites
These golden, flaky bites are an easy way to turn our Pickled Asparagus into a standout party appetizer. The buttery puff pastry mellows out the tangy vinegar bite of the pickled asparagus, while Parmesan and bacon add a savory richness that rounds the whole thing out. They come together quickly and look far more impressive than the effort they actually take.
Ingredients
- 16 spears Bald Eagle Foods Pickled Asparagus, drained
- 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed
- 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
- ⅓ cup shredded Parmesan cheese
- ¼ cup cooked, crumbled bacon
- Black pepper, to taste
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Roll out the puff pastry sheet slightly and cut into 16 long strips, about ¾-inch wide.
- Sprinkle strips lightly with Parmesan, bacon, and black pepper.
- Wrap one strip around each asparagus spear in a spiral, leaving the tip exposed.
- Place wrapped spears on the baking sheet, seam-side down.
- Brush each with egg wash for a golden finish.
- Bake for 15–18 minutes, until puffed and golden brown.
- Serve warm.
Tip: These can be assembled a few hours ahead and refrigerated, then baked just before serving — perfect for entertaining without last-minute prep.
